Influence of hydraulic and organic load on the anaerobic-aerobic dairy wastewater treatment characteristics

The performance of the anaerobic-aerobic sequencing labscale reactors for treatment a milk processing wastewater was studied. flow rate varied from 78.0 to 149.0 ml•h-1 and organic matter content 3.8 6.8 g COD∙dm -3 . This corresponded change dilution 0.4 0.8 day -1 loading 1.4 2.8 COD•dm •day An increase hydraulic load reduced efficiency at first anaerobic stage 44.4 29.7%, but it compensated aerobic stage. Increasing improved 54.2%. It shown that spatial separation onto two phases increases in whole (85.8 98.7%) comparison non-separation mode (45.5 73.9%, respectively). correlation analysis L, consumption P D on E allowed obtain equations can be used mathematical optimization process.
